Serial ATA

Hi, I am building a computer in which there are two
Serial ATA drives, one being a Western Digital HDD and
another Seagate Barracuda... Window XP detects the WDC
one fine but not the other... any suggestions?

Here are the only possibilities I can think of:

1. Loose or bad cable. This is probably the most likely
cause. In my past, I've twice been burned by bad cables.
2. Bad drive
3. Possible BIOS setting that's disabling one of the two
SATA interfaces.
