Sent Mail Missing

I went to look for a message I sent on 10/24/09 and found all the items in my
sent file are missing. Settings have not been changed so what has caused
this problem. What a pain.

Make sure that you have the option checked to put a copy of the sent
messages in the sent items folder under Tools | Options | Send. If that is
checked, then you can navigate to the sent items directory in Explorer and
see if the messages (.eml files) are still there. See
www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx for details on the default message store
organization.

select the Sent folder, then click on
View - current View - show all messages.

Hi Sandy, the same this is happening to me - but mine are going missing only
after a few hours. Have you had any success in resolving your problem??

Make sure that when you are viewing the Sent Items folder its view setting
is "Show All Messages" rather than "Hide Read Messages".

Dear mrspmanning: I can't even organize my e-mail because my Saved Folder
which I created simply dissapears...the folder still appears on the left of
my In-mail screen with the outbox, sent etc. but the contents disappearfor
whatever reason..nice, huh? If you discover any way of managing your e-mail
the way we used to do in Outlook please let me know, I had to buy a new
computer and am on vista now. What an improvement. Joan P.
