Wally,

1. How do get TweakUI to fix SendTo issues? I see no method by using this
utility.

2. This version of TweakUI does not install in the Control Panel. If you should
want it in the CP, use the utility found here:

| I use this to fix all my "SendTo" issues.
|
| Great program.

| Get "Tweak UI" on the right side of the page.
|
| It will install in Control Panel.

My apologies to everyone, the send to window is not what I am looking for,it's
the window that opens when you right click on a program and it shows Open,Run
as. Etc.it also has send to on it.I am not a computer whiz so bear with me.

It may be caused by a corrupt registry setting for the exefile associations or
there are some viruses that are know to modify this area of the registry.

Do you have problems running the exe file when you double-click on them?

If so, here are two links that may be of help to you in this matter:

Unable to Start a Program with an .exe File Extension
http://windowsxp.mvps.org/exefile.htm

You Are Unable to Start a Program with an .exe File Extension

Good luck!

That's good news, but I'd still recommend doing a complete scan of your system
using an up-to-date anti-virus utility.
Can you suggest an exe file that I may have that I can click on.

I don't know what help that would be.
Also, when I right click on any of my programs the little window opens as it
should. It only happens when I click on programs in my program file.

I assume the "little window" refers to the menu showing, Open, Run as, etc.

When you say "my programs" are you referring to EXE files or shortcuts to EXE
files? Each will show different options in the menu.

When you say "program file" do mean the "C:\Program Files" folder?

Based on your description of the problem, you are saying that the right-click
menu shows correctly everywhere except within the C:\Program Files folder. Is
that correct?

BTW, I'm assuming that you're using Windows Explorer for this excercise. Be sure
that you have your Folder Options setup to view file extensions (uncheck Hide
file extensions....), otherwise it may be easy to confuse a file with a
shortcut..

Thanks for your patience. When I click on start and then all programs a list
of all my programs appear. When I right click on any program, not just one,the
little window that contains the following items (Open,Run As,Scan with
AVG,send to, etc.)does not open."The send to" is the one that lets you
create a shortcut on your desktop.I can right click on any icon on my desktop
and there is'nt a problem the little window opens.

This is not true. I was looking at the menu of an Internet shortcut, which is
different.

Sorry.
