sending updateable reports

This is most probably completely impossible, but just in case...

There are individual reports of monthly working hours that are printed and
sent to teachers by snail mail. We would like to have them sent by e-mail so
that the teachers can also change/add hours and then send the report back.

Not only does Snapshot Viewer not allow updates, not all teachers are able to
receive a report sent with Snapshot (we checked that out).

Sending in WORD is not only not as nice, but if the teacher edits a field,
then the remaining fields in the line get moved over. Changing or adding to
such a form is not practical.

Ideally, we would like a WORD document that can be sent that contains fields
of fixed size that can be filled in up to a specified number of characters
without effecting the rest of the document.

Any such possibility? Any ideas?

Thanks.

Not sure whether this is suitable for you but check WORD Help topic "Create
forms that users complete in Word".

Thanks for your reply, but I don't think that it answers our problem. To
create a form in WORD for users to complete is not a problem. The problem is
to create the form (for users to complete) in ACCESS that will then be
exported to WORD and enable the users to complete the form.

You can create a Word Form template and then use Word automation from Access
to create the Word Form document filled with data from Access. After that,
you can send the Word Form file to the teachers.
