Sending to hotmail addresses and other problems

Hi everyone:

Got a laptop that came with Windows Vista a few weeks ago, and I am already
hating the damn thing. I bought a Norton Antivirus "specially advised" for
Windows Vista, and I get a notification from Microsoft that they advise to
use any other antivirus except Norton and McAfee, for it will interfere with
the Windows Mail. Maybe that explains why it is working so badly. Last thing
it does is it refuses to send mails to hotmail addresses or msn addresses.
Does this happen to anyone else and it there any solution? Or do I simply
have to shut this stupid program, work with another mail program, and handle
my mailing lists form someplace else?

I also got a notification saying that my perfectly functioning printer isn't
"recognized" by the new Windows Vista. I wish they would warn the costumers
of this before we buy. I am outraged at how this works compared to Windows XP.

Thanks to anyone who can lend a hand and endured my steaming mail

1. While I usually advise not to use McAfee of Norton with WinMail I
haven't seen such a notice from Microsoft. I'd be interested in seeing it.

2. I have no trouble sending to Hotmail. If Norton was installed you might
have to delete and re-enter your account in WinMail.

3. You probably have to get a new driver for your printer from the
manufacturer. Especially if it's an HP printer.

Is your issue with Hotmail and MSN addresses strictly limited to sending?
If so, post the full error message.
If you mean you'd like to access Hotmail/MSN accounts directly in your
email client, you will need to upgrade to Windows Live Mail:
