Sending messages after repair

I have just has a system crash and have had to repair outlook using the
scanpst repair tool.

When I select Send/Receive, although Outlook receives the files from my mail
server but then it hangs saying that it is sending message 1 of 7.
Eventually, it times out but on the next send receive, the same thing happens
again. The problem is that there are no messages in my outbox, either in my
personal folder or in my archive folders - what is it trying to send?

Where can I look to find and get rid of these 7 unknown messages that
Outlook is trying to send?

Anyones help would be really appreciated
