sending mail trouble

Dale Peart

When I send an email using Outlook 2007 to someone in my contact list (for
example the TO: field might look like "John Doe ([email protected])", it gets
stuck in the Outbox and never leaves. If I type the same address so the TO:
field actually only says: (e-mail address removed), then it goes off almost instantly.
I've checked with my ISP and my settings are correct (ports, etc. all OK).
Any suggestions, anyone?

I don't use OL2007 so this is a guess. Does OL2007 let you designate
which email account to use for an entry in the Contacts folder? If so
then maybe that account is no longer defined in Outlook (and you
cannot send using an account that no longer exists). By entering the
email address, you skip using the record in Contacts so your default
email account gets used.
