Sending form results to email

Ok, I'm new at making forms. I've created a form with FP
XP, I've configured it to send the results to my email
address, I've made labels for each field.

My hosting site says that they have Frontpage extentions
turned on and configured to send email.
When I test the form and hit Submit, I get a 404 error
with this in the address bar: http://www.mywebpage.com/--
webbot-self--

Is there some configuration on my form that I'm missing?

Thanks in advance

How did you puyblish your site? When publishing to an FP-enabled web site,
you have to use http to do it. You can do this through File | Publish Web.
This is where most users starting forms get into trouble as a lot still use
FTP to publish. FP forms can't work properly when you FTP because, when
using FTP, FrontPage can't talk directly to the web server and make sure
that the form is configured properly for the web server.

Hope this helps,

My hosting site is fortune city and they have a web
uploading interface to publish. No ftp involved.

Roy,

What Mark is saying is that you must publish with
FrontPage to an http location. Using FTP won't work & I
doubt if a built in site upload function would work either.

Of course, it is always helpful to include your form page
URL, as there ould be a problem with the form properties
as well.

Although some hosts claim to offer the FrontPage
extensions, sometimes they limit the FP functions and
offer a form handler instead of supporting the FP form
function.
