Sending an iCal meeting request

I was trying to send an Internet (iCal)meeting request.
I searched the The MS Outlook help and found the following 2 instructions
there.
1. In Calendar, on the Tools menu, click Options, and then click
Calendar
Options.
2. Under Advanced options, select the When sending meeting requests
over the
Internet, use iCalendar format check box. To turn off iCal, clear
the check
box.
When I tried it, the "When sending meeting requests over the internet, use
iCalendar format" checkbox option is disabled.

Thanks for the help.

Outlook version? Using Exchange as your mail server? If so, what version?
