I've never tried with something hooked up to see what actually gets sent, or
not... But I must admit that the appearance is that nothing gets sent.
Whether this is a bug, or whether this has been intentionally disabled while
they ramped up facilities and procedures to handle the volume of traffic
that might be generated by final release I don't know--but it sounds like
your version is working just like mine does, fwiw.
