Hi Vickie:

That's a function of the corporate installation.

You need Outlook, not Outlook Express, and you must be connected to a
Microsoft Exchange Server.

But you CAN use Tools>Protect Document to Protect the document for
"revisions". This enables you to set Track Changes on and lock it that way
with a password. You can then email the document, and when you get it back
you will be able to see everything the other user changed. Which is the
same thing :)

Look up "protect document" in the Word Help for more information.

Hope this helps

Thanks John, that helps me alot. But is confusing; I had no idea so many
requirements are needed to support the 'Send for Review' command especially
needing Outlook instead of Outlook Express because the Help mentions a
'mapi-compatible' mail client including Outlook Express will work.

Hi Vickie:

OK... I'm sorry: it's so long since I used Outlook Express it must have
caught up in the meantime :)

What may be happening is that you have both Outlook and Outlook Express
installed, but you have no email accounts defined in Outlook (because you
never use it...)

If that's the case, Word may be defaulting to Outlook as the "Default email
handler". If it is, and outlook has no email accounts defined, that would
produce the situation.

The answer to that would be to open Outlook Express and click the button
that says "This is the default email program."

Hope this helps

John,

Is very strange... but I don't have Outlook installed and I did check my
Options and found that Outlook Express is my default mail client.

Thanks for checking.
