Send/Receive Error in Outlook 2003 on Vista

Since upgrading to Vista, I am having continuous issues with Outlook 2003 and
IMAP accounts.

I have two different email addresses on the same server, both set up as
IMAP. Occasionally (about 10% of the time) the accounts will function
without issue and all is well. Most of the time, one of the accounts will
trigger error 0x8004DF0B or 0x800CCC0E. If I try and connect to the account,
nothing will happen...not even a 'Can't connect to account' dialog.

I have read somewhere that multiple IMAP accounts in Vista is the issue, but
I never have any issues in Windows Mail...all accounts work without issue.

If anyone has any ideas, please let me know...it is incredibly frustrating.
One more in a long line of steps backwards in Vista.

Your issue is caused by your Anti Virus integration with your email account. Disable the email scanning for incoming and outgoing emails. Your Anti Virus will still be protecting you . Which AV client are you using BTW

Thanks Peter...the suggestion you have made seems to have worked.

I am using Symantec AntiVirus 10.2.0.276...I disabled Exchange integration,
Internet email integration, and Notes Integration.

You mentioned I am still protected even with these turned off...is this
definitely the case?

Thanks again for your help.
