"SEND" options grayed out

When I want to send a link to the web page I'm on,or send the entire
page, the FILE/SEND options are grayed out. until recently these
options were available and working. I have no idea why they suddenly
were disabled.
I'm using WindowsXP SP2 as my operating system,and IE7 came installed
on my computer when I bought it.

"Start -> Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs -> Set Program Access and Defaults -> Custom". Select your mail client from the list of choices, and click OK.
