send mail in outlook without it going thru the outbox

I just move from outlook 2003 under xp to outlook 2007 under vista. When I
hit the send button in 2003 it sent the email but in 2007 it puts it in the
outbox until I do a send receive. Can I get 2007 to send email the same as
in 2003

Sure - set Outlook 2007 to send immediately when connected.
