Send Mail Error

Amy

I keep getting this error message when I try to send out-going mail, I still
receive in-coming mail. How can this be resolved?

"Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for
this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of
inactivity. Subject 'Re: Dear, Amy , job for you.', Account:
'mail.bellsouth.net', Server: 'mail.bellsouth.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25,
Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10053, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F"

I have Windows Vista and Windows Mail

Does your connection to that server cross over from one internet
provider's equipment to another's before it gets to the server?
If so, such connections to port 25 are often blocked to cause
trouble for spammers. I don't know if this also applies to
connections from parts of AT&T other than bellsouth.net.

Also, you might want to check if your account setup under
Windows Mail is correct, and maybe find if bellsouth.net
will let you switch to a different port.
