Send images to PowerPoint photo album

I am looking for the means to send images to a PowerPoint photo album from
within a separate application. The Microsoft Office Picture Manager in
Office 2003 has a similar capability in the "File" --> "Send to" -->
"Microsoft Office" option. However, I have not been able to find any
information regarding the possibility of duplicating this functionality
externally.

Any suggestion or help is much appreciated.

In the separate application you are using do you have the capability to
export or save the images as jpgs or pngs? Once that is done, you can use
Insert > Picture > New Photo Album.

Thanks for responding. The application is our digital asset management
software. I am looking for a one-step process to create these slideshows
rather than having to go through these steps. We have the capability of
linking external applications for customized output processing. My hope is
that someone out there will know of a method, perhaps using the Office SDK,
to directly send to PowerPoint as a slideshow in a similar manner to the
Microsoft Office Picture Manager. From there, I can create an applet or
script that will do the export.
