Within my Outlook 2003 I have many folders within the Contacts folder.
In one of those folders named Clients I have many categories for the
contacts in that folder. So each contact is categorized in the Clients
folder.
What I would like to do is email only certain categories of contacts
in this Clients folder. Using a Distribution List I cannot find a way
to do this. The only semi-solution I have found is to create a new
folder under my Clients folder (perhaps call it Temporary Contacts
Email Group) and simply drag the category I wish to email into that
new email folder. Then, I can create a new Distribution List (under
Actions) and mark that folder as the list, thereby emailing the
category(ies) I dragged into the folder.
While this works, I believe it is a sloppy way to do things. I am
dealing with hundreds of important client names and email addresses
and I would really rather not have to move them around within Outlook.
Does anybody know a REAL way to create Distribution Lists for
categories?
Thanks,
