Send a group email as a blind copy for all contacts in a Category?

Did you ever get an answer? If not, simply build a distribution list, name
it and save to contacts. Compose your email, and put the name of the
distribution list in the bcc line. It will send a blind email to everyone on
your list and not show any email addresses of recipients.

When I attach a group as a BCC, I get an error message stating there is an
internal error. What am I doing wrong?

What do you mean by "attach" and "group" here?

When I copy the address list from the "To" line into the "Bcc" line, only the
proper names appear and the email address component
"<[email protected]>" disappears. Then when I try to send the e-mail
an error message appears indicating the it can't find "recipient." I tried
copying the "To" line recipients into Word first, but the e-mail component
disappears. How can I correct this problem?

Russ,

I'm sure your intentions are to be of assistance since you so often post
answers. However, the tone of your replies and your statistics both point
to one fact.... you become overly frustrated with other people's lack of
knowledge and understanding of the programs. Perhaps a more patient reply on
the message board here would assist those in need and prove beneficial to
your feedback as well. I foumd this statistic on your user: Posts: 6123
Users helped: 325 Questions answered: 327

Just a kind reminder that we don't all have the same knowledge and
opportunities. If you answer questions to be of assistance this might be a
consideration you would want to consider.

Hi Sue,

I dont understand how to do it. I need to email updates to all my good
clients but I dont want them to be able to identify each other via email
as
some are competitors. I need something that allows me to mass email them
but
without them being able to see who else has recieved the email.

Please explain if this is possible and how to do it.

Thanks

So what don't you understand about these instructions? They seem
straightforward to me...

I would consider constructive advice from any individual that knows more
than I do "assistance." With that in mind, I would venture to say that Russ
(along with many others) volunteer their time to provide assistance to many
people

First of all, the statistics are meaningless. It only indicates that 325
individuals took the time to rate his response. More than likely, the
frustration (which I do not see) is not with "other people's lack of
knowledge and understanding of the programs", it is that the people, like
Russ, are volunteers that spend their personal time trying to assist others
who don't attempt to use the information provided. Did you attempt to use
the advice that Sue Mosher so graciously offered you ? If not, other people
spend their time helping you when they can be helping other people who would
heed the advice.
Just a kind reminder that we don't all have the same knowledge and

Such is life.
If you answer questions to be of assistance this might be a
consideration you would want to consider.

If you ask questions in need of assistance, at least consider and attempt to
use the advice offered !!!

Use the By Category view to help you select all the contacts in a
category.
Choose Actions | New Message to Contact. Cut and paste the addresses
from
the To box to the Bcc box.

How do I send an email as a blind copy to all contacts within a
"Category"?

Hi
Your directions were helpful except that when I ask for the new message it
comes up that there are no email addresses in the contacts. There are address
in the contacts. Why does it not recognize them
