Semi-colon vs Comma in Functions

I would like to know why Excel 2003 accepts only semi-colon as a separator
for arguments to a function and not comma as is indicated in the help. Is
this an option that can be changed?

Hi Stuart,

I think this depends on your location.

Try changing your locale to NZ or UK (I know they both use comma as
the separater).

The separator depends on your regional settings.

In WinXP -- Control Panel/Regional and Language Options/Customize/Numbers and
change the List Separator to a comma.

This may have unwanted affects in other areas, though.
