Hi all

Another little bit for me to Learn.
I have a date Sheet arranged in Daily Single Columns. each row has a piece
of information about that days activity. ie c3 = USA, d3 = USA,e3 = canada.

on a seperate work sheet i only want to pick out the USA entries and not the
canadian entries with the basis of the following
=IF(INDIRECT("'Date Details'!"&ADDRESS(3,(INT(ROW()/7-53)+3)))="usa",(?),(?)

How can i Get the sperate worksheet only the details of THE usa Columms

This has to appear in a List Format .ie

12/3/2008 HOTEL usa
lINE oNE ADDRES
Line 2 Address
ETC

Thanks For Looking

The layout of your data is not clear at all. You say you have "Daily
Single Columns". That implies that each column is for a different date.
But then you say that each ROW has a piece of information about "that days
activity" and you say c3 has this, d3 has that and e3 has something. That
implies that each row is for a different day. Describe the layout of what
you have. That is, this column has that, that column has this other, and so
forth. Then do the same for the rows. Then do the same for the final
product you want. HTH Otto

Dear Otto
Thanks for looking
Column c starting at Row3 has the Following. Column d,e,f,g etc
has the exact same information but with daily increases in date. Hope this
takes us forward, the target being to prepare a list of Dates Promoter and
gaurantee in the format shown the initial question with only USA dates on it.
Thanks Stew

Believe me, I'm not being difficult, but you have to understand that you
are the only one that has any idea about what you are talking about. Don't
use terminology that is peculiar to your work and that only you and your
coworkers understand. For instance, "Dates Promoter", has no meaning
whatsoever outside of your business. Another is "guarantee". I know what
the word means but not in the context in which you are using it.
Let's look at Column C and nothing else, and let's see how much I
understand. Starting with row 3, and going down, you have data that
corresponds to the list that you included in your last post. That is C3 has
a date, C4 has the day of the week, and so forth. I count 50 cells with the
35th cell being blank. Am I right so far? If I'm not right, explain where
I went wrong and stick to Column C only.
In your original post you refer to getting data for only USA columns, but
nothing in the description you furnished includes information about country.
How is a column identified as being USA?
Let's pretend that Column C is USA and let's look at the final product for
Column C only. You said you wanted the final product like:
12/3/2008 HOTEL usa
lINE oNE ADDRES
Line 2 Address
ETC

The list of data you furnished does not include anything about an address.
Also, the list you furnished has 2 lines like:
Hotel Required For Band
Hotel A
Does one of these go into the "HOTEL" cell of the final product? Which one?
Provide details about what ETC includes.
In what row/column of the new sheet do you want the first USA column data
placed.
Same question for the 2nd USA data, and so forth.
