Hello,

I just recently upgraded to Outlook 2003...I have all of
my contacts broken into 2 folders...Contacts and
Business. Under each of these folders I have them setup
into catagories...ie friends, family, ....attorneys,
accountants, etc...

Why when I go to send an email and click on the 'Sent to'
button and I go to select contacts I have multiple of the
same contact...some are even showing the contact with Fax
number....It is even showing several old
folders/catagories that are no longer setup as a folder
or catagory..almost like I am picking up bits and pieces
of an old .pst file...Any ideas??

I would like to be able to go to the Send To dialog and
drill down...Ie...select the folder...then select which
catagory to send from...Is there anyway of doing this?
Or do I have to scroll through everyone that I have in a
folder??

Thanks for any help/advice...
Mike

Ok....I removed the address book and then
re-added the Outlook Address Book...I can now see all of
my contacts in the "Contacts" folder....Is there a way to
view contacts in the subfolders that I have under
the "Contacts" folder? Can't I drill down by catagory??
thx
Mike

The Outlook Address Book has always shown all electronic addresses for a
Contact.

You can select which Folders you want to display in the Outlook Address Book
here:
Tools > E-mail Accounts > View exisitng directories or address books >
Outlook Address Book > Change...

Ok...I think that I got it...It was showing only
the "Contacts" folder...I had to adjust the properties on
each of the other folders to "Show in Address Book"
Seems to be working fine now...
What if I had all of my contacts in the "Contact" folder
and had them catagorized? Can't I drill down by catagory?
Thanks for the help...

No. The Outlook Address Book cannot be sorted by Category, only by
Subfolders.
