I have been burning DVD's of my kids football games. I have had no problems
until recently. I have made 20 plus DVD's without any problem. However
yesterday I tried to burn a disk and I got an error message that said, "Seek
error occured the disk may be dirty or corrupted" Any help out there?

sorry, but I am pretty basic with computer stuff, what do you mean by "bad
media". I am using the same DVD's that I have been using before this problem
started

Media is the "geeky" term for DVD or CD.
Also, try running a cleaning disk on your CD/DVD drive.

media is generally referred to as the material you are using to attempt to
save your data to, it used to be tape/floppy disc, now it's CD, you can get a
bad cd in a batch of good ones, you can also get a bad batch of cd.
Try another cd. if the same error, your drive may be going bad.

Thanks, I will get a cleaning disk today and run it through. The DVD drive
plays fine, but when I try to burn a new movie, it hangs up at 66% during the
project and then finally comes up with the error message. I am also going to
try and re-install the software that I am using (Sony Vegas Movie Studio).
