Security logon needed for *new* database?

I set up security permissions for a database some months ago. That database
has been working fine and has been installed on the network with using the
security wizard.

But I've just tried to create a new database project and it asks me for a
logon and password. I try the passwords and logons for the other database and
they don't work.

Any help??

You are joined by default to the workgroup file used to secure the other
database. Open Access and go to Tools, Security, Workgroup Administrator
and then click on Join and join the default system.mdw that ships with
Access. It usually is located in the windows system folder, but search for
it first.

Strangely, I was missing a system.mdw file altogether. From looking around
the internet, looks like this isn't all that uncommon.

In any case, I was able to copy one from elsewhere.
