Did anyone else receive an e-mail with an attached file supposedly from
Microsoft regarding a
"security update, the "March 2004, Cumulative Patch" update which resolves
all known security vulnerabilities affecting MS Internet Explorer, MS
Outlook and MS Outlook Express as well as three newly discovered
vulnerabilities. Install now to maintain the security of your computer from
these vulnerabilities, the most serious of which could allow an attacker to
run code on your computer. This update includes the functionality of all
previously released patches. "

I have never had Microsoft send me a file attachment on anything.. makes me
wonder if its real or a hoax..
Ideas? Input?

microsoft does not contact you with an attachment and your
isp does not contact you with an attachment unless you ask
for specific info. can you say virus,worm, trojan. go to
symantec.com and click security responce to see all sorts
of email messages and subject lines.
