SECURITY DUPLICATIONS

I HAVE MCAFEE VIRUS SCAN AND FIREWALL PLUS. I ALSO USE
SECURE IE 2004 WITH MY BROUSER. NOW I HAVE ADDED MS ANTI
SPYWEAR (BETA1) TO THE MIX.

IS ALL THIS SECURITY NECESSARY TO PROTECT ME AND HOW MUCH
OF IT IS DUPLICATION? WHAT DOES THE ANTI SPYWEAR DO THAT
SECURE IE DOSEN'T AND VISA VERSA?

I'm not sure precisely what SecureIE does for you.

Microsoft Antispyware's real-time protection will alert you about programs
installing in Windows as autostart items.

You can see this in action if you install an application, or in some cases,
updates to applications. Adobe Acrobat Reader, for example. You may see
that some things are getting installed as part of normal program
installations that you didn't expect.

This protection is valid regardless of what browser you are using. If you
are the careful sort who doesn't open binaries and doesn't click on things
that require a download and assent to, say, enter a site--then you may not
have spyware problems. However any of us can slip, or perhaps have a
machine used by a guest or child who does the wrong thing.

The real-time protection checkpoints do things that none of the rest of your
software does for you, I believe.
