security center

After loading Vista, security center was running ok, but suggested I get a
virus program. One of its suggestions was Norton, so I went to their web
site, bought norton antivirus, downloaded it and installed it.

It's not working right and I'll try to work with them to resolve that.

After the installation I noticed that security center had been shut off and
I'm not able to turn it back on.

Any ideas on how to turn security center back on?

I believe Windows security Center will be replaced by Norton Security Center
when your installation completes.

This is what I recieved from Symantec for the same problem:

This issue can occur due to corrupted Norton program files. In order to
resolve this issue, I request you to uninstall the corrupted Norton program
using Norton Removal Tool, update your Norton 2007 product to the latest
2007.2 version and then reinstall it.

Please refer the document web site link provided below for detailed
instructions:

Worked for me. Wish though that I had saved my $s and gone with something
free or cheaper.

Kirk thanks for the insight, i have the exact same problem and will try it
out. I was given a link from symantec for the lates norton but it still
didn't work, i kept getting an error code when norton was configuring saying
virus definitions could not be migrated. I can't wait for these bugs to be
corrected
