Security alert when attempting downloading

Hello,

I am trying to download patches for my games on Fileplanet, which is owned
by Gamespy, a popular gaming site for multiplayer games, and files.

A couple weeks ago, I was able to download a few game patches for my games
off of Fileplanet. Now, when I try to download, it asks me for my user name
and password (which is normal), but then, this window pops up:

"Security Alert:
You are about to view pages over a secure connection. Any information you
exchange with this site cannot be viewed by anyone else on the web. Do you
want to continue?"

I then click YES, and this window pops up:

"Security alert

You are about to leave a secure internet connection. It will be possible for
others to view info you send. Do you want to continue?"

First it asks me if I want to view, the it asks me to leave. It is supposed
to have a download window pop up after the first question, instead, it says I
am leaving the secure connection. So far, this is the only site doing this.
Other secure sites work fine. How can this be resolved? Please help me. I
have Windows XP Pro-sp2, and my system is new and up to date. Thankyou :)

Under the Tools menu in Internet Explorer, go to the Popup settings and
configure them to allow FilePlanet to have popups.

I tryed everything, even uninstalling gamespy, and reinstalling it. Cleared
the cache, cookies, history, and no go :(

I finaly got it :) I did what you mentioned, Malke, but I went directly to
fileplanet's site instead of using my Gamespy software to download it. I
guess it must be gamespy then thats messing up? Anyways, thanks again!

It could be. See if the Gamespy software has any updates for SP2. When
we want to download from FilePlanet (and I have an account), we just do
a straight download. We don't use any download helpers and everything
works fine. All the XP boxen are SP2 and I've never experienced a
problem with FilePlanet.

I'm glad you got it sorted, though. Thanks for letting me know.
