Security Access 2003 - XP Pro via shortcut

I have a shortcut I use with Access 2002 and XP home edition which
opens a database and loads security. The shortcut I use is:

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office11\MSACCESS.EXE"
"C:\yprogram\program.mdb" /WRKGRP "C:\yprogram\ysecurity.mdw"

I've give a copy of the shortcut to an individual that is running
Access 2003 in XP Pro Edition and they were not have success using it.
They get an error "can't find c:\program". I know all files are
available to them.

Is there anything that would not allow this to be run on this
configuration?

Thanks

I would guess the path to program is not valid on their machine.

Your path name does look ok....

My guess is that their copy of office is installed to a non standard
location.

This often will happen, and especially if they had previous versions of
office, or even "parts" of office installed.

For example, if they installed publisher from office 2002..and used

c:\program Files\Microsoft Office2002

The real sad part here is that for about the last 10 years, the best advice
has been to CHANGE the default directory for each version of office
installed.

However, since office 2000, ms now creates a separate directory for each
version you install. (so, you no longer need to change the default
directory used. You can see that office11, office 10 etc....(it only goes
back to a2000...prior to that they used the SAME directory..and you created
SUPER MESS when installed multiple versions into he same directory). So, MS
did change how this works for the better. However, old habits take time to
die, and often people still choose a non default directory to install
to.....

So, likely, there is a non standard install location being used here..and
this is/was quite a common occurance..

They have lost the quotation marks from your shortcut.

Instead of trying to open
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office11\MSACCESS.EXE"

They are trying to open
C:\program

Without the quotation marks, it is understood like this:
"C:\Program" "Files\Microsoft" "Office\Office11\MSACCESS.EXE"
