Section Break (next page) has formatting attached

I'm working in a document which requires portrait and landscape pages. When
i insert a Section Break a blue box appears across the top of the page, I
cannot select it in order to delete it, but if i delete the Section Break the
box disappears. This does not happen with the page break, it's specific to
the section break.

You've got a "different first page" or "different odd and even" selected.
