Second e-mail address problem

Hi
Two weeks ago I upgraded my whole system which includes
AMD Athlon(tm) 64X2 Dual 4400
Memory 2046 MB
OS Windows Vista Home Premium 64 - bit

E-mail account
I have two accounts Mine and my wife's plus the administrator account set by
the OS
We are both set up as administrators.

I have set up an e-mail address on my account which works OK
I have set up another e-mail address on the other account.
There are the two accounts set up on my Internet provider which correspond
with the two I have set up on the two accounts.

My problem is with my second address - when tested all the sections are
ticked.
When I press send and return I get all e-mail's with my own address which I
set up on another account. I receive nothing with the e-mail address I set up
for that account.
When I go into my Internet provider the second e-mail address is identified
and can be accessed. The test message sent from when I pressed the test
button is shown on that address

Any ideas please

Your ISP doesn't give you truly separate email addresses - they are ALIASES
of the one master email address.
The only way you can overcome this is to set up a rule on each email client
so that mails addressed to the OTHER address are NOT downloaded from the
server.

In addition to my other reply, you can't set up this sort of rule in Outlook
(AFAIK) but you can do it in Outlook Express....

Thanks Gordon

I will perue your suggestion as it is working well on my laptop and this has
the same software but running on XP home.

Gordon, you know this is not possible in Outlook. Rather the rule should be
to DELETE any downloaded message not intended for the particular recipient
(leaving copies of all messages on the server, of course).
