Searching from Address Bar

G

Gaz

I've got a problem when typing something to search by in
the IE address bar, and it should come up with the MSN
search page....it now doesn't, after my wife accidentally
installed some crap on the machine (which I've now
removed). For example, if I type in the word, "yahoo", it
tells me that "the page cannot be displayed", and in the
address bar is, "http:///? yahoo".

I have installed and run Spybot and Ad-Aware s/w as
stated in similar postings of this nature, but nothing's
changed.

Can anyone suggest a remedy?

Thanks,

Gaz.
