Searching fields in a form

I have redesigned an outlook contact form to work for
storing project information about clients, vendors, etc.
However, if I try to search for things entered in these
fields, the data cannot be found. Is there a way to
allow for text boxes and other fields to be searched, or
is that only a built in feature with the notes field?

If you defined the fields in the folder as well as the form, then you should
be able to used the Advanced Find dialog to search those fields.

FYI, you don't search controls (text boxes, etc.); you search data.

Sue, I almost followed what you said, but if you could
please further explain that, I would appreciate it. What
do you mean by defining the fields in the folder and the
form. I'll give the advanced find a shot and see where
that gets me.

I've written a couple of articles on this, starting at
http://www.outlookcode.com/d/fields.htm

Basically, if you bring up the Field Chooser for the folder and the field is
not listed in the User-Defined Fields in Folder list, you won't be able to
search for it until you add that field.
