Searching by date range

Wasn't getting any takers in Finding and Organizing Files...

I was hoping that I could search in Windows Explorer using a date range
function that existed in previous Windows (98, 2000, XP) based on Date
Created, Date Modifed, etc. but in the Advanced search options I only see a
single date field to enter (with >, <, = options).

Does this functionality not exist? Or do I just need to enter my boolean
logic in the search field? If that is the case, that is certainly a step
backwords.

In explorer view, add the column you want to filter on. Then click on the
column just to the right of the text.

If I understand you correctly, that sorts the files in that one folder by
date, or lets you search for one date. What I want to do is search that
folder and all sub-folders for a range of dates. For example: all files
between 2/1/95 and 2/15/95. You can do this with XP and older versions of
Windows but I can't figure out how to do it with Vista.
