Searching a sub form

Hello,
I have a form and a sub form. When I try to search the sub form I can never
get any results. For instance, there is a field called "File No." which lists
the file number of each piece of software. I can never get any hits on this
field even though I'm typing in the field value correctly. In fact I can't
get any hits on any field. Does Access not allow you to search a field in a
subform? Thanks very much for any help you can provide.

Sure you can do that.

Where is your code and what code are you using?

I think I probably should have posted this elsewhere. I just hit CTRL/F and
choose to search the sub form/any part of field.

Personally, I never use the built in menus in my
applications so I am clearly the wrong person to respond to
your situation

Try the Forms group.
