Search prefixes not working

For some reason search prefixes aren't working anymore.
Even the standard 'search <term here>' doesn't work
anymore. I was wondering if there's anyway to get them
working again. At the moment all the do is try and take
you to an actual site (ie. http://search internet
explorer). Any help would be appreciated.

Seems like any search gets put into this format which is
obviously wrong.

http:///? google something for search

Not sure why it would add an extra back slash or a space
or a question mark before the google... Maybe something
in the registry I could change?

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each need to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded.

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.
