I have added a search page on our website in Frontpage 2003, however it
doesn't work. I can view it on the web and enter my search, but it doesn't
search my database. How can I fix this so it works?

The FrontPage search will only search HTML documents - specifically, it
will not search a database.

Use the Database Results Wizard (or write your own script) to search the
database.

How do I tell it to search html? Maybe when I said database, it meant one
thing to me and another to you. I am trying to make a search page for
customers to search our website for a product they are looking for. How
would I do that? I have the search page up but it give me an error page
when I hit the submit button.

Has your host set up the search function is Index Server for your account?
You'll need to ask them.

To me, a database is MySQL, MS SQL, Oracle or Access database, but a
collection of html files can also form a database.

Your search page requires the FrontPage extensions to be installed - the
lack of the page
http://www.thepatternpeddlers.com/_vti_inf.html indicates the extensions
are not installed.

For more information about nortbots.htm (the page with the error message
the search form opens) see
