Seagate STT8000a Tape Drive

Hi,

I have a Seagate STT8000a tape drive unit installed in my Windows XP SP1
machine. Although the system can see the drive and has installed the native
drivers. When a tape is inserted into the drive the system does not
acknowledge the tape.

Has anyone got any ideas?

Tape drives aren't visible as a drive with a unit letter assigned. It's only
visible in your backup program (and in BIOS).

Yeah, I can see the drive from NTBackup. But RSM wont acknowledge the tapes.

Any ideas?
