Scrolling attributes

With my newly installed Windows 2000 XP I find the
scrolling very uncomfortable...it is jerky and almost
seems to bring up a new screen each time I click the
wheel. Any way to make the scrolling function smooth as
it was with my former Windows Professional?

Open control panel/ double click on mouse. Set the lines

per notch on 1.

This could be because of the mouse driver. Have you tried re-installing the
mouse driver from the CDs?
