scroll bar jumps

I've recently found that sometimes pages scroll
themselves up or down a few lines, in Word, IE6 etc
without my having touched anything. It's as if
the "handle" on the scroll bar is jumping around. I've
made no significant changes to my system and have the
required mouse drivers. Anyone else had this, and any
suggestions as to cause/solution? I suspect it may be a
bug in one of the updates.

Do you have a wireless mouse and/or keyboard? Try changing the batteries.

Please read "Jumpy scrolling" in Google NG Search:

Basically, there is an option selection for smooth scrolling in Windows
Explorer, and, also in Internet Explorer. TweakUI can help too.
