Script errors

I am a novice at this so please bear with me.

Ever since I downloaded Service Pack 6.0, I have had problems accessing
things on web sites. I will usually get the yellow triangle in the bottom
left hand corner of my screen saying error or error on scripts. I was
looking at some other problems stated here and even tried going to Microsoft
to re-install the scripting engine as was mentioned to another reader. My
machine won't download it. Maybe there is also something wrong with a pop up
blocker? I am getting very frustrated and desperate!! Is there a way to
just start all over? Any assistance would be appreciated.

We're only at Service Pack 2 for XP.

Script errors on a website are usually on the site itself, because the
webdesigner has not coded the page correctly, nothing to do with your PC.
You can contact the webdesigner if you want, but if you're going to try to
contact every single website that has a script error on it, you may be busy
on your PC for a LONG time! Ignore them.
