Script Error - Access is Denied

A friend of mine runs Windows XP (Home Edition) and Internet Explorer v 6.0;
he has a problem when trying to print a web page in that, with the page on
the screen, when he goes to File > Print (or Print Preview) an Internet
Explorer Script Error appears “Line: 93; Char: 1; Error: Access is Denied;
Code: 0; URL: res://C:\WINDOWS\System32\shdoclc.dll/preview.dlg - Do you want
to continue running scripts on this page? Yes/Noâ€

Whichever he clicks on - Yes or No - the page doesn’t print; the alternative
of copying and pasting into MS Works wordprocessor doesn’t work either - a MS
Works Error Message appears - “An error occurred while attempting to perform
the last operationâ€

I should be grateful if you could suggest what he can do to put this right.

If not caused by Surfairy, check for other malware.

Start with BHODemon 2.0

CWShredder, Ad-aware, Spybot (in that order.)

to one of the forums listed below. You will receive good help at any of
these forums. You might look for a forum that doesn't have too many
unanswered posts. You should also look for the proper forum for HijackThis
logs and a message along the lines of "Important- Read This First."

In addition to Donb's answer: iepeers.dll might need replacing, or the spool
settings for your printer might be incorrect.
