screwed up file types

I am new to all of this photo stuff and think it's great but I screwed up.

I have win xp and a digital Kodak camera. I have all the software
downloaded correctly. I saw some neat software from Adobe 2.0 so I
downloaded it. I put the Adobe software on my *D* drive because I thought I
would use it a lot for picture space/ I then made a CD a couple of months
ago. Well in the meantime I did not like Adobe in the *d* drive so I
dragged it to my C drive. Why??? I don't know. Now I am unable to open
some pictures that were on the cd and even some that I uploaded from my
camera. I get a pop up screen telling me " KodakEasyShare can no longer
find the program. D:\2.0\Adobe\Digital Camera Photos\xxxxxx.jpg The file
may have been renamed or moved in your windows file system."

Could someone out there with great knowledge please help me out.

Thanking you in advance.

You can drag files from your C to D drive with no problem. However you
cannot drag software from one drive to another. When you install software,
its location is registered and you must leave it there. If you want to
change it from your D drive to your C drive you must uninstall it from the D
drive and then install it on your D drive.
In your case, just drag back the software to your D drive and then Kodak
will find it.
After you do this, go to Control panel and select Add/Remove programs.
Remove Adobe. Then install Adobe again but select your C drive. Kodak should
now be able to find it on your C drive.
Once done, you can still save your photo files on your D drive, no problem.
In fact, it is good practice to keep all your software on your C drive and
all your work on your D drive. This makes it simple to back up all your work
stored on your D drive.

I have some downloaded on the *C* drive and some on the *D* drive. You are
saying to drag them back to the *D* drive. What about the ones that open on
the *C* drive? Like I said I really screwed it up.

I best delete my 192 pictures and start again. boo hoo

What do you mean?

You said you dragged the program folder from D to C. Drag it back. The pictures can go anywhere.

You cannot just drag a program folder, as you have learned. Now some of
your apps think that the adobe is on C: and some think it is on D:. Your
solution is simple. Just pick a drive, and once an app is installed onto
it, just leave it. If you want to change the drive it is on, you MUST
uninstall it and then reinstall it on the other drive...it's the only way.
