Screen saver UN-locking XP?

The computer in question is set to a 2 minute wait for the screen
saver, and to password protect on screen saver.

The user sits next to me. She locked the machine, left for two hours,
and in that time no one touched her machine. Just before she got back
I noticed the screen saver was off and the machine was unlocked.

I'm not even sure what search criteria to look this up. Everyone I've
talked to has never heard of this problem.
