Screen Resolution - Aspect Ratio

I'm using a table to split a webpage into three columns. The middle column
has it's background set as a picture. When I designed the page on a PC with
a 1024 x 768 "square" screen it looks fine... when I view it on a wide
screen laptop the browser stretches the table and my background picture gets
repeated

Is there a way to "lock" the size of table cells/text boxes in FrontPage?

Make the table a fixed pixel width.
