Screen and Taskbar

I always had a thin (about 1/4") Taskbar with all the icons in one row. Now
the taskbar is about an inch thick with a double row of icons. I have tried
removing some of the icons but it doesn't help. Also, previously when I
minimized a program I had a small little icon at the bottom. Now when I
minimize a program it is about 2 inches long at the bottom of the taskbar.
Finally, I now have a black border around my screen - the whole screen isn't
filled.

Can anyone help?

Yup. The taskbar has been resized. Right-click on an empty space and clear
the "Lock the Taskbar" checkmark. Move the mouse pointer to the top of the
taskbar until it turns into a double headed arrow. Now you can size it to
whatever you want. (Don't forget to lock it back.)

Your screen should have a tiny border around it. (It's better for the
monitor.) However, I bet your's has changed because the vertical sync has
changed. Use the monitor settings to resize the picture. How you do so
depends on the monitor.

Thanks. However I still have the "thick" toolbar. When I uncheck "Quick
Launch" it gets thin again when the icons disappear, but when I check "
Quick Launch" the toolbar gets "thick" again .
I didn't have this problem before and just seems to have happened now.

Also, do you have any suggestions to my question:
