Scheduling appointments

I can set up an appointment for the 3rd working day (week day) of each month
by entering 'recurrence' and setting it there.

It allows you to chose the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th or last week day.

I need another appointment on the 8th working day (weekday), but obvuiously
this is not an option.

Any ideas? Alternatively, can you make one appointment dependent upon
another. i.e appointment 2 is 3 workind days (weekdays) after appointment 1?

Both are not possible to set as a recurrence pattern.
Being able to exclude the weekends in a recurrence is often being requested
though. You could contact Microsoft support about this to express your
wishes (ignore the credit card fee notice when you call; it doesn't apply to
such feedback) and it might get included in a later release.

"Trailing" appointments (your alternative) is a harder implementation and
usually gets more towards project planning and I believe Microsoft Project
can actually do that. Microsoft Project also has an Outlook add-in which
then exposes theses appointments in Outlook.
