Hi,
I want to run a scheduler task under Windows XP Home on a PC with just
one user account (owner) which has no password. Is this possible?
The scheduler appears to require a password to run the task but I
specifically do not want to give the account a password as the task I
am running invokes a shutdown|restart which will then obviously hang at
the password prompt during the restart.
Under XP Pro I can cheat by using the administrator password but this
trick doesn't appear to work for XP Home (the admin account is
deliberately crippled).
Is there any known workaroround for this problem?
Alternatively, does anyone make a third-party scheduler without
password requirements, or a dedicated shutdown/restart timer?
