Scheduled tasks won't execute

I am trying to schedule a batch file and DEFRAG.EXE to
run in a scheduled task. I have the correct password on
the scheduled jobs. I can hear the hard disk do
something when the job is supposed to start, but the
actual program does not execute. I am getting a 0x80
return code, but could not find that return code on MSDN
searching for Windows exit codes or searching of 0x80.
