Scheduled Tasks not working

Using XP Home SP1.

I have several tasks set up in the task scheduler, but on testing them, none
of them are going ahead as scheduled. I checked that the task scheduler
service is running in msconfig and it is.

Is there something else I need to enable for scheduled tasks to take place?

Do you have a password set on the UserID that the tasks are going to run
under? Tasks won't run under a UID with a blank password - unless you
apply the registry tweak at Kelly's website:
