Scheduled Tasks no longer run

Hello!

I have a stand-alone user on XP Pro and her Scheduled Tasks all say "could
not start" as the result. These items were working fine for months, then
suddenly stopped. As a guess, I changed the password on all of the tasks to
match her local login password (she is an administrator) and they still
fail. I had originally set up the tasks with her login password, and she is
a member of the local Administrators group, and everything was

Did MS release some patch that breaks Scheduled Tasks?

There is an issue with one of the latest Windows Updates. Uninstall
the one that is related to the Task Scheduler (I do not have the patch
number available here) or install the new SP2 when it is available to
correct this.

Unfortunately, even after the hotfix, they still fail to run.

I posted again with more details on 8/14/04 under the heading of "Scheduled
Tasks fails to run."
